I have stayed in many, many Air BnBs over the years, and this home was my very favorite. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated and the yard was glorious - just like the photos but even more homey feeling. And Christophe was an absolute joy to meet. He had snacks and flowers ready for us, answered all our questions, and even messaged me on my birthday! What an absolute gem of a home and a gem of a host! 10 stars!!!

Wow!! What an exceptional place to stay. Greeted by an informative friendly host.
An absolutely beautiful home- everything is well thought out. So many more ammenities than listed. Gorgeous open floor plan- perfect for family and friends. Indoor outdoor living at its finest. Our stay at Modern Escape was wonderful. When we arrived, we were greeted by an on-site host that showed us around the house...in addition there was a house manual to review for any questions that came up during our stay. We encountered a few hiccups, however our hosts (both on-site as well as the homeowner) were extremely quick to respond and resolve the minor issues we encountered. We would highly recommend staying at Modern Escape as it's a beautiful home in a prime location with so many things to do close by. We hope to return again next year! Thank you, Christophe!

If I could give Christophe and his Airbnb 6 stars I would do it right away.
Beautiful house, great location, friendly host… everything was great.
We stayed there with family and kids, everyone loved it. Kids can enjoy the pool, the parents the beautiful garden, the spacious kitchen and the stylish interiors. It‘s very convenient that every bedroom has its own bathroom.
The house is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood but close to the beaches, restaurants and attractions in La Jolla and San Diego. There is even a possibility to use the beach equipment which is great, too.
Christophe the host as well as everyone who are supporting him before and during the stay were helping us out at anytime.

This was our second time staying in Christophe's home with two young children, and it lived up to the memories. Beautiful home, beautiful location, beautiful decorating, and what an awesome pool. La Jolla is just a great spot for a relaxing getaway, and this location is perfectly situated partway up the hill from the village so it's just incredibly quiet and private, while being minutes away from town. And to top it off, Christophe is by far the best AirBnb host I've had.

I had my family stay at Christophe’s house for our Thanksgiving holiday and had the most wonderful stay. This house is truly a “home”, extremely well decorated, a kitchen which will satisfy the most well trained professional chefs, and a layout which allowed my family to enjoy all the inside and outside amenities! This was are most enjoyable Airbnb experience and has taken the bar up for future family vacations. Lastly, the responsiveness of Jenna, Mark and Christophe was proactive and extremely helpful during our stay. We will definitely come back!
